Questions a serious reader should ask

Has anything been built?

No. There is no prototype, test article, customer, or flight hardware.

What is the Springblade video?

A design visualization of a curved landing leg. It is not footage of hardware.

Why is the leg curved?

The design keeps the leg under the skirt, with nothing sticking into the airflow or the reentry plasma. The bend of the blade does the damping — we call this solid-state damping — instead of an oil shock, a hinge, a footpad, or a crush core. That is the design. The first article proves it.

Is Springblade for Starship?

Springblade was designed specifically for Starship. The tall skirt and the plasma heat of reentry are why the legs stay tucked under the skirt, out of the airstream on ascent and out of the heat on return. Any leg that sticks out of the hull creates big aero and heating problems; Springblade removes those problems by staying housed until landing.

We do not have a vehicle program or a customer. Earlier pages that read as if we did are corrected. The design still stands for that vehicle architecture.

What would funding pay for?

A first physical Springblade article, a short test, and drawings that separate concept from what was actually made.

Can I hire LHS for a production program today?

Not yet. The services page describes the steps after a prototype is funded. It is not a catalog of work already delivered.
