Springblade is the first article we will build.
Springblade is a curved landing leg designed to take landing energy in bending and stay reachable for service. The homepage film and About image are visualizations of that architecture.
What we have: a complete design study: stills, film, and architecture. What comes next: a metal article, a load test, and a lander interface. Springblade was designed specifically for Starship. We do not have a vehicle program or a customer.
Lunar and planetary landers need legs that survive uneven ground and can be inspected after landing. Ours is a long curved member instead of a straight strut. Load testing is the next gate after metal.
The shape sits fully under a vehicle skirt, so the leg stays out of ascent airflow and reentry plasma. Damping comes from the blade bending. We call this solid-state damping. We leave out oil shocks, hinges, footpads, and crush cores because those parts add mass and have to be replaced. The first article is where we measure it.
